HTML5 Offline Demo

This page will work fine even if you lose your network connection after loading the page. It's a simple demo; it just loads a series of pictures (of some of my projects) on demand. To experience the demo fully, disconnect from the Internet after loading the page but before using the Next or Previous buttons. The images will still load (and the Offline API/Application Cache is used to do this, and not any JavaScript image preloading). If you use the Next or Previous buttons while online, you can go offline, clear the general cache, and the page's images will still load.

If your browser prompts you to allow "offline storage" or something similar (as Firefox does), you must agree to this or the demo won't work.

Clearing the General Cache

Windows:

• Firefox 3.6+: Open Menu Bar -> Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network. In the Offline Storage section, press the Clear Now button.
• Safari: Open Menu Bar -> Edit -> Empty Cache. Press the Empty button.
• Chrome: Open the Wrench icon -> Options -> Under the Hood. In the Privacy section, press the Clear Browsing Data button. In the dialog that appears, have a checkmark only in the Empty Cache line and then press the Clear Browsing Data button.
• Internet Explorer 8+: Open the Wrench icon -> Safety -> Delete Browsing History. In the dialog that appears, have a checkmark only in the Temporary Internet Files line and then press the Delete button.
• Opera: Open Tools. Use the Delete Private Data option. In the dialog that appears, have a checkmark only in the Delete Entire Cache line and then press the Delete button.
